Yes, you heard right – Madame Tussauds is all set to open doors in India in Mid 2017.
A little birdie tells us that the 84-year-old Regal Building in Connaught Place is going to have the honour of displaying the wax replica of a whole lot of Indian Politicians, Bollywood and Hollywood A-listers spread across two floors.
This initiative is a part of a series of year long events and activities planned to celebrate 70 years of Indian Independence. There’s lots more in store as part of India-UK Year of Culture in 2017, including the opening of Sea Life aquariums, Legoland Discovery Centres, a Shakespeare First Folio (the first collected edition of his plays!), treasures from the British Museum and a copy of the Magna Carta going on a touring display across India.
We absolutely can’t wait!
